What's everyone doing this weekend?

Every day is a week end for me!(I'm retired) Did a nice bike ride yesterday and today did some lawn clean up(88 degrees here). I plan to eat way too much food and consume way too much alcohol!!

Not sure if you realized Friday was good Friday=day off for most people. Perhaps you didn't get the day off or could be you don't recognize it based on your faith.
Good Friday is a holiday, the Friday before Easter for most Christians. It is believed easter be the rising from the dead of Jesus who died for our sins and Friday he was nailed to the cross and laid to rest. Our government recognize we have a lot of Christians living in the USA and made it a holiday.
I've had good Friday off for 40 years :)

Anyhoo, I did get to do the rear brakes on my car and a brake flush.

but "day off for most people" is unfortunately not accurate. Quick google search, according the the bureau of labor and statistics "Among civilian workers receiving paid holidays, 21 percent received Good Friday (the Friday prior to Easter) as a paid holiday. Nineteen percent of private industry workers and 31 percent of state and local government workers also received Good Friday as a paid holiday". It isn't even listed as a federal holiday. So chalk Good Friday up with Ramadan, Diwali, Yom Kippur and one of those religious holidays most of us don't get off and as part of the 69-81% of workers that don't get Good Friday as a paid holiday I repeat...long weekend?
