Hi, good morning.
Does anyone know what's happening to my leather coral? it had been doing fine until yesterday, I found it flopped over, checked my parameters since I was planning a water change but everything a side from dKH and calcium were fine. Temp 78.4, S.G. 1.025, ULP 0.01, dKH 5.8 and Calcium was 398. The only thing I did a few days ago was change the direction of one of my power heads, nothing else everything else in the tank is looking well.

My leathers sometimes do this. But, really need clear photos under white lights or with a filter over the phone to get the "whole picture" of what is happening.

They are sulking/drooping as termed indication a lack of water flow. Direct current towards them, not at them and they will perk up. You may notice a clear film./skin over top of them which confirms this. Simply using a turkey baster and giving it gentle blasts will perk it up with 12 hours.

Moderate light and water flow
salinity 1.025
ph 8.1-8.3
temp 77-79
nitrate < .4
phos < .04
ammonia < .03

Thanks, I'll take some better pictures tonight. I did change the water flow back how I had it before notice it started to stand back up a little. Hopefully when I get home tonight it's back to normal.

Here are the pics, it seems to be perking back up but I'm still not sure what's going on with it.

Good morning, first thank you to all that replied to help me with the coral. Just wanted to update you all as well. Last night the coral was looking a lot better the scare is over. The coral is upright still not back to how it was before but I am confident that when I get home tonight it will be. I believe it was my changing the direction of flow of the wave pump, didn't think about it when I did it. Thanks vetteguy who mentioned that as a possible reason and made me realize I did this :(. Thank you all.
