Whats on my rabbitfish??

I woke up this morning and saw this on both side of my rabbitfish. Any ideas?

I woke up this morning and saw this on both side of my rabbitfish. Any ideas?

Tough to see clearly. It could be hypermelanization, where a fish's skin gets damaged and then produces melanin that in turn creates black marks.

More history is needed as per the post above.
