It hasn't been quite a week yet. My Leucoxanthus was out on day 2 in the tank, Mel took 4 or 5 days. Carpenter is in day 6 and Garnoti is on day 5.

Need to redo all the electrical supplying power to my 8 year old 180g tank. Came home yesterday to a still tank. Went to the basement where the sump is and every switched outlet on my Tripp lite strip were dead. Fortunately we were only gone for a couple of hours. I used this incident to remind my honey why I do not take vacations. Yeeha I get to stay home again for xmas! Seriously that's a positive for me. Me and the pups get along much better than I and a group of people. Off to home depot

I used to and have still two under my reefer 300. This is second time I had one fail in the same manner on this tank about a year apart. I have a hunch my return pump, a big external reeflo hammerhead is probably the cause. I think it may be too much for the strip to handle coupled with heaters and lights and such. I'm not savvy enough to figure out for sure. Pump is going on a dedicated circuit this time.

Guess I bought them long ago enough that they were made properly.

The newer ones are junk imo, tripp lite got bought out by Eaton a few years ago, quality on the consumer stuff slipped. Look at the premium isobar stuff now for the good quality your used to.
