Because we are planning a long vacation at some point*, I shall not rest until I have:
1. ATO/AWC
2. 2-heater system and controller
3. 4 ch Doser
4. Light upgrade
5. Vacation auto-feeding solution that my fish will agree to.
6. Establish a self-perpetuating pods colony.

*plus, I like stability in my tank.

I'm sure there will be adventures down many cul-de-sacs en route, such as additional coral purchases. Because, corals.
Those sound like very SMART goals!
Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Something something corporate lingo...

I need to finally plumb in the new VarioS-10 pump on my closed loop system and take the backup RD3 100 pump off. OR find someone with a RD3 150 watt pump and use that.

Your tank is all put together. Water is flowing, equipment is working, fish are swimming, corals might even be growing, but what are those last little things that need to be done before you can consider things to be "complete"?** this goes for you experienced reefers too!

I think mine right now could use a lot more organization. Cables need tidied up, shelves need to be added to keep things from being a jumbled mess. Stuff like that, just those last few things that are making your tank feel unfinished.

**Complete being a relative term as i dont think our reef is ever complete. Our reefs are a living organism and equipment needs and livestock demands will be ever changing, there wont ever be that pretty, wrapped up with a bow, moment.
Nothing. It will never be complete, and I do not believe I have enough room to make it look organized.

Being done....Ha! How about constantly on the watch for behavior changes in this critter or fish? Then there's the coloration of corals, or teeking the light setting for a new addition. I think we're done when shear exhaustion or frustration rule and one gives it a rest. Otherwise, there is no done, just anticipation of the next new thing.

Just had the one thing on my punchlist almost done. Should be finished tomorrow. Friend came out and installed the in wall box for my power strips. Waiting on wall plate to feed cables in and then I can mount everything and rerun equipment wires.

Step 1-having acros survive
Step 2- have growing acros
Step 3- have tank full of acro colonies
Step 4- upgrade tank because I need more space.

Still working on step 1 😅

1. Cable management
2. UV sterilizer
3. Fix return plunging so it doesn’t look atrocious even though it’s currently working
4. Better lighting rig

It’s a process. I’m saving to build a house that will be housing a custom beast of a tank. Setting aside 25k for that so these little things are much less of a priority because this tank will be out of function in 2 years.

Plus I have 2 other tanks currently running and a third coming. We have a problem in this house
