Whats wrong with my Nassarius snail?

Hi guys,

so i got 3 nassarius snails last weekend. The smallest out of the 3 likes to climb up the tank and stays there for hours, and it’s not even in the water!

Is there something wrong with it? is it dying or is bullied by the others?
I dont think it died yet, otherwise the other 2 will eat him right?

It doesnt even respond to food.

It's not uncommon for snails to go above the waterline. If he were dead, he wouldn't be sticking to the glass.

Knock him off and see what he does.

Also, are you sure it's a nassarious when compared to the others? My nassarious snails have much longer feet then the one in your pic.

i thought he was dead, last night he dropped to the bottom of the tank upside down and didnt move from the spot for hours. It‘s moving around today, but still not interested to be in the sand.

He was in the sand for a few times, but it seems it prefers to be on the glass where the heater is.


The 3 snails were sold to me as Nassarius but it does have different coloration from the others. It‘s more lighter in color.
And it doesnt react to brine shrimps. The other 2 go crazy when i throw some brine shrimps in there.
If its not nassarius, you know what it could possibly be?

looks totally like a nassarius. I have quite a few in my tank and have had them do this many times before!
