So it’s in front of a window…there’s a shade so shouldn’t be a huge algae issue…not sure what all the hubbub is

Being rimmed means that you don't need to support the entire bottom. Had racks setup where only the ends and middle were supported. Seen setups where just the sides are supported. Bottom glass doesn't have to be such as with rimless.

Ends/Sides are important ..more so than the middle on a rimmed tank...

Yes but my setup was two racks back to back so no choice but to support the middle. Was trying to imply middle needed to be supported.
