Nice! I’ve never tied two tanks together before so tons of research coming my way lolNice! I plumbed a 30g into my old 120. 16hds attatched to the 120, lol.![]()
I want to do something similar to house my clowns. I have a basement sump so it'd be super simple to do. Just gotta get to it.My plan is to build and stand and plumb this 40 breeder into my waterbox 130! Probably be a winter project tho
Fairly straight forward. Overflow into the main sump. I teed off the return to the 30 from the main and used a ball valve to control the flow.Nice! I’ve never tied two tanks together before so tons of research coming my way lol
Sounds like your next project, lol.I want to do something similar to house my clowns. I have a basement sump so it'd be super simple to do. Just gotta get to it.
Pics, lol.
Yea, but that involves catching my clownsSounds like your next project, lol.

Anything in particular that stands out about the mariner series to you? Build quality? How is the stand?Maybe you can get one! They are well worth it!
I run all 3 on my cube, haha. I've got a reefi in the middle, 2 quanta bars on the edges and a kessil 360 shining on the tenuis island and for that shimmer.I been eyeballing some quanta bars! But i've also been eyeballing some reefi and I like lessils as well and... hahaha wish there was an easy choice!
Get a few of these. Best frag rack/rocks as they sit on the bottom and blend in once coralline takes over.I'm setting up a growout system in my garage because I'm tired of seeing frag racks in the display.
Nothing grows as well as I'd like in those racks.
I wish I had dont bare bottom.. seems much nicer hahaGet a few of these. Best frag rack/rocks as they sit on the bottom and blend in once coralline takes over.![]()

So this sounds amazing.I haven’t posted in forever, but I’m deep into planning my next reef build—a system just over 1,000 gallons. This project is part of a new home construction, so I’m currently working through the budget and logistics.
The tank dimensions will be 96" L x 72" W x 32" H, and my goal is to recreate a Maldivian reef (Currently have a family of Madives clowns).
The current inhabitants of my 300-gallon tank will be moved over, including a very large Magnifica anemone, which has outgrown its space (it now takes up half the 300-gallon tank!). While the anemone’s size is one reason for the upgrade, it’s certainly not the only one, if you stay in the hobby long enough and have the budget... a larger tank is only a matter time!
More updates to come as things progress!
My old 120 was bare bottom. Once grown in its quite nice, imo.I wish I had dont bare bottom.. seems much nicer haha
And i could have told the wife we couldn't get a diamond goby that I now fued with on a daily basis as I unbury corals lolMy old 120 was bare bottom. Once grown in its quite nice, imo.

I'm about to start selling organs i thinkMy project is to find a new source of income to pay for my fun in this hobby. My husbands last day of work is in three days, and then we will both be retired. I don’t want the money to stop coming in!!! I still have things that I want to buy!
I wonder how much a kidneys worth? Lol
