When an issue arises, what is your go-to response?

I know for me, whenever something goes wrong in my tank, my first response is, "Reef2Reef has the answers I am looking for". However, you might not be like me, and you try to tackle the issue first before anything. Maybe you want to try what has worked for you in the past first before trying anything new. I am wondering, whenever an issue arises in your tank, what is your go-to response to the problem in your tank?

For me most of the time its do a water change and ask questions afterwards

I like to cuss, blame GOD and threaten to end society as we know it for a few minutes first.

Then Water tests, and R2R!!

Water change, add carbon and some type of metal remover (just in case). . . and sure test the water.

Same, come here and start asking questions. For the most part I can figure stuff out but there's always that one problem that someone else on here has experienced and has the answer. R2R is an excellent resource

First thing I do is check salinity and parameters. Remember what changes I did recently. And if I see something wrong I do a search how to handle it. Last thing will be to ask in a forum, Because I will get to many different answers

Someones just hopped into your tank, what do you do?

Confirm that it's actually happening/is what I initially think it is, then check anything painfully obvious that comes to mind.

Gotta have a good idea what the problem actually is before you diagnose it.
