I am deciding whether to get the 25 or the 45. I like smaller size of the 25 because it is less obtrusive but do not know if it is good enough for my 120 gallon (4' x 2' x 2').
Which version should I buy?

I am currently using 2 MP40 mounted on the back of the tank to be discreet but I think that I have to mount the Reef Wave on the side of the tank for flow.

Im running a 45 on the short side of a 4'x2'x16" tank and running them at 20% foward and 10% reverse and its moving water crazy good . I took off my nero 5 and KPS , the shorter pump is still like $280 so I opted for the larger one and it works great on that footprint plus you can direct the flow how you want it.

I'd get the 45. I have 2x 25s running top-back to front on my reefer 250 (36"x20"x20") running at 40% and it's about right. Once I put them above 50%, they start to vibrate a bit and hum (although I just installed them today) . The 45 would be a quieter at the same flow rate I'd imagine.

I have (2) 45s running perfectly quiet in a RedSea Peninsula 650 (140 gallon) - that was also the recommendation provided by RS.

I am considering putting one of the 45 on the opposite side of 2 mp40. Tank is 48x24x24. What are the benefits of this over the maxspect gyres?
