dang.

How do you like the Trident?
I love my trident. It’s spot on for the most part. It’s been very accurate since I started taking it apart every 6 months to clean the testing cuvette and sample line

That sounds like a pain. Am I wrong? Are you relying on it exclusively for alk consumption/testing? Do you do separate/random tests at all? Also, are you using it to dose as well?

More questions to follow.

I cross-check the results with Hanna checkers and the Red Sea pro test kit. Trident alk measurement is always 0.4-0.6 dKh lower than my Hanna but everything else is usually within +/-10-15%

Some might consider it a pain…..I myself find it easier than manually testing

No, I meant the cleaning. You need to take a step back from those tenius and speciosa. You’re becoming touchy like them.

I was referring to the cleaning as well. Cleaning it once every 6 months is easier than daily manual testing to me.

Nothing crazy
2 mp40s on the back wall at 35% nutrient transport mode.
That seems like a good amount in your tank. Maybe I’m on the lower end, though.

I went to work on the detritus in my sump - old school style. I vacuumed it, along with the sandbed, over the course of three weeks. I ordered the Reef Diaper RS-1, along with 30 reef diapers. I’m pleased with the set up. Picked up a bunch of particulate matter. I’m replacing the diapers at the 4-5 day mark now that things are cleaner.

@reefforest on instagram regularly has frags of the "real" angry birds for a lot less than top shelf.
