Where to source lanthanum chloride?

You could call your pool supply.

Have you used this?

Not sure I'd trust a pool supply company product unless I can be assured its only LC without additives

Well you can always go back to another form, RC, and read the very long lanthanum chloride thread and see that people indeed used a pool product. SeaKlear was common back in the day. There are plenty of user stories with its use, recommendations, guidelines, warnings, etc. You can also do a search on this forum and see that it is used.

Your mileage may vary of course.

I have not used this brand, but Lowes used to sell an LC product made by Clorox that worked just fine. The label indicates what is in the bottle, and someone earlier suggested you check out your local pool supply.

The bottle I posted is fairly inexpensive. I may purchase an lifetime supply?

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're not being sarcastically rude. I'm not going to a different forum to spend hours reading a very long thread. I know how to search, but thanks for that.

Thank you for the SeaKlear recommendation.

Sorry for being careful about what I put in my tank.

Thank you. I'm reading through the first link you posted - didn't see a safety sheet.

I'll keep this in mind the next time I head to home depot or similar, thanks!

Let me be clear here for a spell. I was not telling you what to put into your tank. That is your journey, not mine. I'm simply replying to the comment of "Not sure I'd trust a pool supply company product unless I can be assured its only LC without additives". This road has already been traveled with product and cautionary notes.

I am assuming you already went through this thread with RHF DIY recipe. And yes, the material will be expensive but it will also last you a good while.

Have a good one.

You are looking for the SDS, so I trust you can read these labels. A lot of pool chemical treatments are mixtures, and I have always been careful like you to make sure stuff is ONLY LC, the product I linked indicated that was all it was.

The mad chemists on here are always trying to find more economical sources of the chemicals we use, be it antibiotics, or rare earth compounds, or what not. THe mark up for REEF store products drives the quest.
