Where would you put a refugium?

Thinking about putting a refugium in this sump, how would you go about doing it?

Ideally it would go in the middle chamber, but it seems you're low on space, not that its strictly the way you have to do it! There are workarounds one of which is a hang on refugium

Yeah I was trying to think of work around bc space is tough. Would moving the skimmer to left, and putting a small acrylic box next to it work?

I prob can get about a 5”x5” box in there. Would it work/be worth it?

Id probably get the drain to go into what I think is the designated area?

Do you think the skimmer would fit there if that area if freed up?

Yeah ima get that lined up, I just move in a month so I built a new stand that’ll fit better. I was prob gonna throw it in there w a filter sock, but was just trying to see what ppl think

That’s why the sump is fully behind the tank lol it’s taking up so much extra room rn. But I just built a stand that it can go under

redo the drains, and put the skimmer in the drain section (unless you can't even after redoing it), and use the middle chamber for the refugium. if push comes to shove, you can use a reactor as @blaxsun mentioned.

20g, I do have the space on stand. But was planning on using that to upgrade to 40g

If it was me, and the space is available, I'd move to the 40 and then drill the 20 for an overflow and use that for a fuge fed by a small pump from the sump.
