Ok i am overwhelmed trying to understand qt. So I'm thinking about just being pre qt fish. This will split up and take much longer but I have at least a start to healthy fish. So my planned 1st wave of fish how would you add them?
1:2 or 3 jawfish
2: goby shrimp pair
3: Sand sifting goby
4: 3 chalk basslets
5: 1 foxface
6: flame hawk
7: firefish

So I'm thinking 1-3 first. This gives sand dwellers time to establish territory. Do you think adding the flame hawk with bottom dwellers will be better as they establish together and might now see sand dwellers as food? Then 4-7 after for the more docile fish before tangs wrasses.

Didn't think about moving the firefish up. Great point. Thanks also helps confirm my thinking is right.
you're very welcome! I made the mistake of adding a firefish last to my last tank and it got beat up pretty bad after it jumped out of my acclimation box prematurely.

If your tank isn’t too small you can add any of those fish at anytime, none of them are super territorial or aggressive.
They are going into a 180g. These were the peaceful nice fish to keep my moody maroon pair company. Then comes the wrasse and tangs. Qt scares me idk why. I have everything besides copper reagents and i am just scared of them all. So I'll order pre qt fish. And just add a few at a time from the above lists as they come avaliable.

I added a fixface in my first tank that had a coral beauty, maroon clowns, 6 line, and scopa tang. Foxface jumped 3 days in. So I'm trying to stock properly to fill tank without impulses.

Excellent way of thinking about it. You're doing well so far with thinking stocking this time around through!
