I am having trouble deciding which shot of this red mushroom coral I should use for an exhibit I am doing.

Both shots are of the same shroom, just completely different lighting, exposure and treatment.

On one hand I really like the natural looking shot that represents what the coral actually looks like. Five minutes later I think I should use the artistic looking print because I think it draws more attention.

Which would you choose and why please?

Remember, there will be mostly non-reef people looking at these.

1. Natural

2. Artistic

I like the first one. The second one does look a bit to grainy. I would love to see that second pic without all the grit.

Thank you for all the input.

I will go along with the crowd and use the first one.

Thank you for recognizing the “painting†quality of the second one Cirrhilabrus, that was the intent of the exposure and lighting levels.

No problem Guy. You have posted some of the best reef shots I've ever seen. Keep up the great work!

No doubt about that! We are honored to have you here! Keep up the good work.
