which return pump is the quietist and best option

Just setting up a new 65 gallon AIO, it came with some Weipro return pumps. They are cheap but, get the job done. My only problem with them is that they are kind of loud and not super dependable when I turn them off, they don't always want to start back up. Planning on replacing them. I like Aqua Illumination products, but the reviews on the Axis pumps aren't that great, and I feel like I have heard nothing about them marketing wise. I have other tanks that I use Sicce pumps on, and like them, but they are for much smaller tanks. I would like a controller or wifi, but it's not a mandatory requirement. Any suggestions?

I have the bigger Sicce SDC Syncra 3.0 and 9.0 pumps and I don't like them because the threads are not compatible with US standards. I cannot plumb them in. In addition,when I use their adaptors they leak. I write to Sicce and they said at high pressure their threaded adapters leak. They had no solution. So you cannot use them outside the sump.

I would use ecotech or a brand that uses US thread sizing.

several decades in the Hobby and sicce is by far the quietest ive seen. Prior to Sicce was aquamaster supreme

The quietest pumps I've used are Vectras, there are 3 models to choose from and Red Dragon pumps which are the most expensive pumps I've bought.
I need the absolute quietest ones so these are my picks.
I know there are other cheaper ones, but I like these brands for my use.

Orlushy is super quiet. Not sure why you would want to spend 300+ on a return pump? I’ve ran an Orlushy for 4yrs so far with no problems.

I have ran Ecotech and Core’s over the years. Currently I’m running a core15 and it’s dead silent. I moved my vectra L1 into the mixing bin and it’s also dead silent. You can’t go wrong with either option.

Jebao mdp pumps are quieter than my Tunze or Sicci. I run a mdp 8500 on a LifeReef skimmer and you can not hear it run.
I run Tunze and Sicci returns on 4 systems and the Jebao dcp is as silent as they come.

Jebao DCP pumps here. Dead silent, dependable and cheap enough that I buy two so I have a backup tho I've never needed one. They are all I run and I don't maintain them well either. I had a DCP 3500 that ran for 6 years and never cleaned until I broke the tank down. They don't have Wi-Fi but I have no need for that on a return pump. IMO return pumps are like lights, set and forget. I do like a feed button which they have.

both of those sound and look great, but the return pump has to be able to go in the return chamber of an all in one. these look like extras return pumps, right?

Not sure what your space is, but the smallest pump would be the Vectra S2. That might be too large to fit.

I see no reply. For an AIO, often will be a sicce 2.0 or 2.5

how do you like it? the reviews are mixed on bulk reef supply. I like those from a features and price standpoint, plus they integrate into the ai app.But it seems like they are not that dependable.
