I went with a 36" 6 bulb tek for my 75G and love it. I think 6 bulbs will be to much for your tank though.

Here are photos of how I hung my lights:

Is it worth the price differance?

Honestly, for the price difference, i don't think so. The fans prolong bulb life, but for about $30 you can install your own fans in to the fixture and control it with a fan controller.

My only worry is the sound. Will the regular TEK be loud or anything? If not im getting the regular.

O I thought it still had fans, I just thought the Elite had like extra fans or something. My bad, somehow I missed that, lol.

What combo do you use!?!?

If I remember correctly:

Front to back

Giesemann Actinic Plus
ATI Aqua Blue Special
ATI Aqua Blue Special
KZ Fiji Purple
ATI Aqua Blue Special
Giesemann Actinic Plus

I now have the following combo:
Front to Back
ATI Blue+
ATI Blue+
ATI Aqua Blue Special
KZ Fiji Purple
ATI Aqua Blue Special
ATI Blue+

Ok so it is probably worth the extra $ in the long run?

In my opinion yes. Especially if you're looking to keep acros in there. That and the look of hooking up a fan to help cool the fixture won't be as nice.

Hey just a heads up there is a tek 4 bulb fixture with new bulbs for sale in the dry goods section.

Nice!

What is the highest you can adjust the legs to? If you can adjust them?
