I just got a pair of Flame wrasses and a pair of Rhomboids.. I have to say i think the Rhomboid male is my favorite. It's a super male so the coloring is amazing..

Those are all often quite costly at retail. If your gut isn't calling you toward one or the other (hence the poll), I'd honestly have to suggest that you look into something altogether different (that your gut agrees with!). :)

While there's nothing wrong with this list at all, IMO there's nothing these wrasses have that makes them cooler than any other really cool fish. If one out of that list isn't calling to you, then maybe your list is for the next tank! ;)

There are a lot of ways to spend a few $hundred on fish - even on other really nice wrasses....don't let a formula or pre-determined list trump your gut feeling! :)

I say keep looking for candidates until something grabs you in a "no-questions" kind of way!

Good luck.

I have a male flame wrasse. If I get a female for him, will they pair up?

I vote pink margin. Can't beat those looks at that price point! I haven't really seen any decent experiences regarding longevity for fairy wrasses, so I'm hesitant to plunk down the $$$$. I had a group of flames, and the oldest only lasted a little over 2.5 years, while my $20 lubbocks lasted 5. Even 5 years, for multi-hundred dollar fish?... I dunno, I'd rather have a butterfly or angel that will live 20 yeas, but that's just me

it really doesn't matter what you decide to get right now. eventually, you'll get a bigger tank and get them all anyways :).
ohhh...the addictive nature of this "hobby" can border on obssesive at times :(

There all great but I love the fairy wrasses group because they are so peaceful but if I had to go with one I would say the mystery wrasse

One thing about the mystery wrasse, they're not peaceful.
They'll become really aggressive as they age, very territorial.
