Unsure if this white growth is being projected out by the platygyra or it’s a foreign growth on the actual platygyra. It’s white and does not match the look of the feeding or sweeper tentacles of the platygyra. Additionally, the platygyra has deployed a large swath of sweeper tentacles that I have never seen before this growth appeared this morning. My plan is to cut this growth off and dip the coral in Revive, any suggestions before I go through with this plan (maybe in 2-3 days depending on how it progresses)? Coral is still extended as it showed good polyp retractions when I attempted to blow the white growth off with a turkey baster.

Update: I was able to get the white growth to release with a pipette. Unsure what it actually is after taking the white growth out of the tank, potentially digested food or a sponge.

Good trouble: Have mushrooms ever become pests in your aquarium?
