Hey all, so my fiancé and I have a 150gallon salt water tank that has been up and running (with fish and corals) for about the last 6 months.

Today we fed the corals some reef chili and they loved it. After the lights went out for the night we were admiring the extended palups and the nice colors that they continued to have.

We all know that at night is when the fish sleep and everything else really comes out. Well tonight we noticed that we have quite a few vermetid snails that we need to remove as they have been causing some havoc.

We also found this little guy. It looks like a white spiky club. We have no idea what it is. Can anyone help us to identify it? What is it, is it good, is it bad, is it something we should remove if we can? We were both in awe of it and very curious at the same time. Any help would be appreciated.

I have included a video of it as well for you to look at. I couldn't get the video to load so I included the link to a YouTube video. Thanks a million. Aji and Baz

It looks like either some kind of worm or a sponge.
@LionfishLair is good at these sorts of things :)

I don't think you'll have any issues as this isn't a variety that gets everywhere like some. I personally would leave it be, but you can just reach in with some tweezers and grab it out.
