Carpenters wrasse developed white spot this morning, is less active than usual but did eat. Can anybody help me identify what this is?

I haven’t noticed any fighting, he’s in there with a possum wrasse and black Molly
Not once was I ever a witness to a hit.
Not the possum, and shouldn’t be the Molly, but, strange things happen.
If it is a nip, it should diminish

How big is the Possum? A big mature one can lay the smack down. Mine was very aggressive in a 40B. Wrasses can develop a bacterial infection even after extended quarantine. Kanaplex/Metroplex if its not aggression.

This looks to be mechanical injury and not a bite and fish is very thin. I would consider a tank divider or separation allowing it to heal using Seachem Neoplex

See how the lesion is angled? That’s a hallmark of an internal Uronema infection. It is fairly common in newly imported wrasses, anthias and green chromis. It isn’t treatable ( despite what you might read) but it also isn’t contagious.

If this lesion turns red and breaks through the skin, that would confirm the diagnosis.

Here is an article I wrote on this disease:
