I ordered some sps - first ones to ever put in my system and the tips seem to be turning white. Their polyps are fully extended with good color at the base. Only the tips seem to be the issue. The Alk matched the water that it came in. My nitrates seem to be taken up rather quickly, so i'm assuming the anaerobic bacteria is there and doing its job. Something you generally don't see with a newer system. I really don't think its growth because the plug hasn't encrusted yet. Any thoughts on what the issue could be? I put them in about a week ago.

System - 7months - 20% live/80%dry
Flow - 50x
Salinity - 1.026
Lighting- 400w MH & 2x OR3 (125-200 total par)
Alk - 8 (stable)
Calcium - 460 (currently lowering it)
Magnesium (1590ppm - currently lowering it)
Nitrates - 2ppm
Phosphate 0.02ppm
Ph - 8
Temp - 79F
