Thank you so much, we had two orders last night and one was likely yours. We have changed our shipping methods because of the summer, using thicker packaging and longer lasting ice packs. Let us know if you have any issues.

You won't be disappointed feeding your tank white worms! Fish love them and I feel like it's a much "cleaner" food without all the extra nutrients you get when you thaw frozen food!

Plus finicky eaters love white worms!

i didnt read this whole thread. but im wondering are the white worms enough nutrition? or do i need to supplement with something else?

Variety is the spice of life!

I am using the white worms to complement frozen mysis, freeze dried black worms, TDO pellets, ROE and Reef Nutrition pods.

I wouldn't only feed one type of food, but I will say I was able to keep a Copperband alive for a year with just worms, plus whatever it managed to eat from the rockwork.

White worms are extremely nutritional but as mentioned variety is the spice of life! White worms are high in protein and fat.

Yes, I would bake some dirt and transfer them as soon as you can. Make sure the dirt is moist but not wet.

Since the dirt will be sterile, do not be surprised if any bread you use gets moldy when you feed. That is to be expected and will correct itself after bacteria builds back up.

so I have my first oder in from white worm lady -- I have the small wine fridge to keep them cool, I have the containers -- I have mesh for culturing --

trying to make sure I have this right
1) bake the organic soil -- transfer to the new soil/container
2) ensure the new soil is wet but not soaked
3) use a piece of bread, some vogurt and yeast --- what yeast? put yogurt on bread place bread yogurt side down onto the soil
4) use mesh to harvest/float the worms to help collect and create new cultures

Just the normal flaked nutritional yeast you get from the grocery store.

Yes, I think you have it all correct. Temp is important, too cold and they will not spawn, too hot and they will die. Keep an eye out for mites, but normally they are not that much of a problem if they are just grain mites.
