I do.. I have been fishing for Crappie and Bass the last couple of weekends, I have around 4 lakes around me all with in a 10min drive, closes one is less the 5 miles.. Salmon season is open here in CA but I have been debating that since the GOV had stopped giving framers water here in Central California because of delta smelt for the salmon population, then they open Salmon season.. doesn't make sense to me, but thats politics.... back to fishing..

Used to a lot, mostly for sport.

Shark, stingrays, or large game.

Stripe bass, halibut, haight (wrong spelling )like barracuda ) etc.

Oh i know the tuna are on there way to Socal. Its that time of year for my wife to watch over.

Ok i love showing that picture as I have fished all over the world looking for one. I got this one on my Honeymoon. I have a great wife....

I spend a week every summer up in southern alaska fishing for salmon and halibut. It's always just been a close group of guys, but this year the wifes are coming with which will make it nice. I have a 25' Aft cabin cruiser that I use for fishing here close. Usually Flaming Gorge or Lake Powell. Set up with downriggers and all the other toys.

Charles I wish i could be a superman and say it was no big deal but that fish made me its B---h it took four hours i got heat stroke and was vomiting oh and not hung over as I dont drink . Sad to say i think the only reason i got it on the boat is after 23 jumps out of the water her tail got wraped in the line and died but man truth be told it was four hours of hell. I did love it till i seen her die.I had to do it as i had been fishhing for that big one for over 15 years all over the world. As far as the tackle it was not big enough. Dead wait was 510lbs

My son seen me post my marlin and told me show them mine dad. So here it is with my fishing buddies as they all took a turn with this one

Man that sucks. The fight is the best part. But sometimes the fight can kill you. I just do a lot of docks, mangroves, and wadding. Little freaky to have a bait bucket full of live shrimp tied to your waist and be standing in the ocean with it floating about 5 feet away from you. With water almost up to your chest. Hoping nothing tries and take the whole bucket.....lol

Hopefully it is a good couple of days. Have had some awesome times. Nice snook, Drums, Fiance hooked a baby tarpon (about 2.5 feet maybe 15-20lbs). Yeah that is a baby when you are talking about a 100+lb fish. Now I know one of the other names for a Tarpon is a Silver Sides. Wonder if they are the same as the ones from the LFS?
