The hell wrecker of the tank is the Halichoeres chloropterus… Pretty but evil, I mean look at the colour of him!

In my nano tank my boss is my Cirrhilabrus naokoae, but not for aggression against other fish, oh no he checks the inverts and if he doesn’t like one for whatever reason it gets hit against a rock.
My peacekeeper is also my Cirrhilabrus naokoae, my blenny if he ever pecks on another fish then the naokoae will happily slip in and display dorsal and caudal fin and intervene.

After the gentle giant Vlamingi was re-homed the Purple took over with distinctly more vigor (smile)

seems purples or maroons will rule their respective tanks

That'd be my royal gramma. Not the meanest fish ever, but he's pretty big for a gramma and isn't afraid to tell my clownfish who's boss.
I have always loved the behavior of my royal gramma. Mine have always stayed by their spot in the rockwork and defended it aggressively. Its like they are the bouncer to some exclusive club in my rockwork

The boss of my tank is my melanarus wrasse, he is peaceful with all the other tankmates unless they try to start something

I have a power sharing triumvirate: blue tang, yellow tang, and coral beauty angel. They display and butt heads with each other but only briefly. And they pretty much leave everyone else alone. It’s one big happy family!

My newest addition - quarter sized Coral Beauty - immediately asserted herself as the dominant force in my tank. Uses her tail to physically push my Midas Blenny back into his barnacle lair should he have the audacity to go outside.

You would think by looking at the tank it was the blue eye kole tang.....

Chases everyone, swims aggressively around the tank, etc. You know typical tang behavior.

Every once in a while the yellow coris wrasse lets him know who the real boss is.

My Starry Blenny. He's the Grumpy Old Man of the tank (complete with the eyebrows) who tells everyone else to "stay off his lawn" - except for the Blue Mandarin who's totally his buddy. He'll even knock the snails off the glass if they get too close to his favorite watching perch.

Of course, who could hate a blue mandarin?

I only have 3 fish right now, a saltwater molly, a lawnmower blenny, and a 6-line wrasse. So far my big hermit crab keeps all three in line. He even smacks the wrasse around lol
