I know, I know, I placed these way too close. I just didn’t think they would grow so fast. My concern is the monti has been growing faster than the mille, and I’m worried it’s just going to kill it and encrust over it.
Anyone have any experience similar to this? No chance they will just both stop growing where they are touching right?

Really? My experience has been that acros- and especially millies- will fry a setosa. My setosa (in my last tank) was not a super-fast grower, so it couldn’t overwhelm anything. And millies- again, in my experience- tend to be more powerful than other acros when in chemical warfare.

I've had a Montipora overwhelm a favia.

Sure, but a setosa? Monti caps will overwhelm just about anything, but a setosa is a different thing altogether. At least, in my experience...
Could be very true. I've only dealt with Montipora capricornis ;)

yeah he already laid ontop of even though they killed the tissue back the mille will now die under the lip there the monti will regen over that and go further next time , till eventually ....... grows like 5 x times faster so its inevitable
