Why are (unique) leathers so hard to get

There seems to be little or no interest in my area for reef stores to acquire unique and pretty leathers. Everyone seems to focus on acros, torches, hammers and such. Every so often I stumble on something good on LA but that's rare. Does anyone have a store they could recommend that would also do mail order? I've searched most of the usual places online and while I can find an item here or there, there is never enough to make an "order". You guys did so good on the zoas I'm hoping you might have some suggestions here too.
