When my current tank was younger (six or eight months ago) it went through two cloudy periods. A bloom of heterotrophic bacteria, and another of phytoplankton. One way to help tell what you've got going on in there is to siphon some tankwater into a white bucket. The color of the water will tell much . . .

In my case, it was brilliant jade/emerald green.

I don't think it's been cycled completely yet, or that the bioload skyrocketed bc of the new fish additions. No diatom or any algae? You should have some to know that there's some nitrogen in there(ammonia, nitrite, nitrate)
Have you dealt with diatoms yet?
Also try to get carbon from Brs, they always have the best, rox 0.8 is the best. Or can you only get stuff from a lfs?

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
