Why is my tentacle plate coral extending unusually?

I recently acquired it about 2 weeks ago, about 3-4 days ago started this weird extension. I’m not sure what has caused this since nothing has changed in my tank for 2 weeks. Is this polyp bailout?

It would usually lay flat, however when I turn off the flow to feed it returns to its normal shape. My theory was that the flow was too strong however I lowered the return pump power and it remains the same.
Without knowing any details on flow it's hard to speculate.

The max gph would be 800, right now it’s currently at the lowest at 130 gph.
I like to use 3-5x flow for my return pump and around 10x for wavemakers. It might benefit from a flat piece of Marco shelf or stacking rock that you can place it on (I've done that for a few tentacles).

For me honestly if it flowed anymore it would be too much and negatively affect my coral as they are all low flow requiring. However I did manage to build a small rock formation around my plate coral and seems to be back in shape after a couple of days. Thank u
