The white cone is the flesh under the plate coral, however the tentacles seem to be doing fine so I’m not sure what’s going onWhat's the weird extension exactly? I'm trying to figure out what the white "cone" is.
Was it always that shape? Usually it's an inverted disc. The white cone is the flesh under the plate coral, however the tentacles seem to be doing fine so I’m not sure what’s going on
It would usually lay flat, however when I turn off the flow to feed it returns to its normal shape. My theory was that the flow was too strong however I lowered the return pump power and it remains the same. Was it always that shape? Usually it's an inverted disc.
Without knowing any details on flow it's hard to speculate. It would usually lay flat, however when I turn off the flow to feed it returns to its normal shape. My theory was that the flow was too strong however I lowered the return pump power and it remains the same.
The max gph would be 800, right now it’s currently at the lowest at 130 gph.Without knowing any details on flow it's hard to speculate.
I like to use 3-5x flow for my return pump and around 10x for wavemakers. It might benefit from a flat piece of Marco shelf or stacking rock that you can place it on (I've done that for a few tentacles). The max gph would be 800, right now it’s currently at the lowest at 130 gph.
For me honestly if it flowed anymore it would be too much and negatively affect my coral as they are all low flow requiring. However I did manage to build a small rock formation around my plate coral and seems to be back in shape after a couple of days.
