Why is reef2reef hashtag so broken on instagram?

I usually loved to check member photos on instagram and usually also tagged mine with #Reef2Reef hashtag.

Recently I’ve noticed it was flooded with pictures entirelly unrelated to reefing…

Have you noticed that? @Peace River are moderators aware?

Reef2Reef is a popular hashtag so “spammers” will pick up on that and abuse it. I’m not sure there is anything we can do to stop it but I’ll look in to it. Cleaning this thread up too and closing it. Thanks for the heads up.
