Ordered some peppermint shrimps since there aren’t any local. Seller sends these tiny shrimps. Two already escaped anemone cage probably fish food by now.

Pretty upsetting

Should at least warn on site they will send smaller than a penny shrimp.

Edited size is on site.

Most website list them as .5" to 1". Unfortunately it looks like you got closer to the .5" ones. Typically what we see in the LFS is closer to 3/4" or 1" but I've seen several stores sell little babies like those.

That sucks. Probably had to pay shipping also?
Yeah shipping and premium price for captive.

Just look and you are right the size is listed but should be on top of page not mid but that might not help them. Still believe they should not sell this size.

Yeah, it's kind of like when you go buy Nassarius snails and they're labeled as "Jumbo" because they get bigger but the ones in the tank are only 1/4" and they want you to pay $5 because they're "jumbo". Or the Blue leg hermits when they first come in and they're just barely in their first shell...

I will just use this experience as a lesson learned and continue to support LFS. Got desperate for some peppermint to tackle Aiptasia since they are spreading and could not source locally.

The good news the one can’t escape and spotted one in the wild lol.

I just received my order and all the peppermint shrimp were totally alive and healthy and ranged between 0.5-1" as advertised and expected. I spent $99 and got free shipping.
