i have three chromis that use to swim together around the thank all the time, now in the last six months they only hide behind the rocks and only come out when is time to eat. i wonder why?

Pepe818 i have 2 fire fish that does the same thing. I found out that if i turn off the powerheads and filter and skimmer they come out and swim around the tank.

Very possible adding the damsel scared the fish. If they feel threatened they will retreat and hardly come out. Only risking coming out for food, if even then.

the yellowtail damsel doesn't seem to be aggressive, but i guess I'm gonna to get him out... thx every body

Mine did the same. They all comes out and swim together. Out of four chromis one (biggest) is hiding in the rock cave now (almost 2 months now) . And it is aggressive to other chromis. Only comes out during feeding time. Does anyone knows why it's acting this way? I have only 4 chromis and one wrasse in my tank.
