Looking for some recommendations for a WiFi camera that I can access from my phone. Have a basement fish room so want to be able to monitor my sump and frag tanks without always having to go down to the basement. Would also be used if I’m traveling away from home. Would like it to also have night vision.

Thanks.

Recently upgraded my tank cams to the newer Eufy Pan & Tilt cameras. 2K quality along with auto night IR lighting.

Wyze cam v3 is great. Quality isn’t the best, but you can get a general idea if there’s a major problem, which is what it should be used for. And the cost is hard to beat. I also enjoy watching my tank at night with the incredible IR.

+1 on wyze, there’s more fancy and better resolution out there but these cameras get the job done for cheap!

I bought an Amcrest I’ve been pretty happy with (pre-dated the tank). What I do recommend is pick a camera that allows you to manually set the white balance in the app. That way you can get a really nice view of the tank without the overpowering blues. I just have mine on a tripod which gets moved around some during maintenance and feeding so I also appreciate the pan/tilt/zoom function to reset the image without moving it around endlessly.

EDIT: I should clarify that the following is a comparison of PanCams only.
(1) The eufy cams have a much clearer picture which is important when something goes wrong and you're trying to figure it out while away from home. (Been there, experienced that!)
(2) The Wyze cams go through a reboot each day. When it works right that is not such a big deal. The camera just rotates side to side from one end stop to the other. That means it is supposed to go 180* (* = degree) to the right, 360* to the left and the 180* to the right again to its original position. Well one of my Wyze cameras was going 180* to the right, 180* to the left and then 180* to the right. That meant each day it would accumulate a 180* right hand twist. Inside the camera there are two wires that connect the stationary base to the swiveling camera. So after a while the wires twisted so much they would become unplugged. Not a good thing to happen when you don't check the camera every day but rely on it in an emergency! eufy cameras don't do this nonsense, they stay where you point them.
(3) Price wise, as of today when I looked on Amazon, they cost the same so why not get the better camera?
(4) This point goes to the Wyze camera. In regards to the tilt range, Wyze cameras have more downward range than the eufy cameras. That is the one point that I will say that Wyze wins on. eufy cameras go straight out and can tilt up. Wyze cameras can go up and down from a straight out view. But since this is easily compensated for by the mounting angle, I can't give it much clout.
Edit 2: eufy pancams actually have more total tilt (96*) compared to Wyze (93*).
(5) Wyze pancam can only STABILY use up to a 36Gb sd card. The eufy can use 128Gb cards.
(6) eufy is easily viewable on a computer through their website. Last time I checked about Wyze cameras it looked a lot more complicated. (This might have changed since I checked last.)
(7) Oh yeah, one more point for Wyze, eufy doesn't capitalize their name and that bugs me! ;Hilarious

I only paid $39 for my Eufy 2K pan/tilt cameras. the wyze cams got demoted to back yard and bird feeder duty.
