So I want to setup some sort of wifi webcam so I can view my tank externally whenever I'm not home. Plus I would also like to be able to post a link that anyone could click on at anytime to view my tank. Does anyone know how I van do this and what wifi webcam to buy? Thanks in advance.

I purchased a Foscam a few years ago I use while away. It tilts, swivels, zooms so if need be, I can check things out. There are numerous options for webcams.

Just be careful setting it up and think twice about setting it up "that anyone could click on at anytime to view my tank". You're inviting people in to your home that way and you don't always know those people! Keep it secure for your eyes only unless you temporarily let someone see it. Just my $.02.

They are a nice tool when you're away from the house for an extended time. You can keep an eye on things but you can also direct someone in case of an emergency. It's easier to say "not that valve, the one to your right".

You can mount them upside down then just tell it to invert right side up.
I’ll experiment with mine, but I’m thinking 1o’ or so...can do up to 30’ I believe.

I’m gonna try placing mine on the TV stand that is about 4 feet away from the tank and will be able to monitor my tank, front door, back door, and hallway leading from the garage.

I have 2 wyze cams. One in the stand so I can check on the sump and one just looking at the tank. I will be getting the one that can zoom, pan, and tilt once I get live stock in the tank after it cycles.

I plan to get the regular Wyze cam for in the stand if everything turns out good with the first.

Just got home from work and already have the Wyze cam going. Took just a couple minutes to get going since I already had the app downloaded. This thing is cool for the price!!

Both wyzecam and fosecam are good in terms of recording stability battery and stealth... Thank you for other option mentioned here
