Will 4x MP40 be enough flow for a 60x30x20?

So I’m finally getting to realize my dream, no compromises system and I’m trying to work out the flow.

System will be all SPS, and I’m wondering if I’ll need more than my four MP40’s?

What do you all think? Maybe plan for also having a couple of Tunze 6105’s on the back wall in a crossing pattern?

I think 4x MP40s would provide a crap ton of flow in a 150g

depends on the type of sand your using, I’m literally running for I’m my 150 coral system and I can’t go above 25%.

I wish they made a MP that would attach to 1/2 glass!

I am trying out an tunze orca with a 6105 on my 180 gallon now and it’s pretty impressive. I used to have 4 mp40’s. I now use the orca plus 2 of the mp40’s and flow is better.

I actually have two and can only run one of the orcas in my 300!! It blows my sand all over the place. They should have made a model between the 6075 and 6105.

The mp40 is rated up to 3/4" glass and the mp60 is rated to 1" glass

special grade at minimum is needed for higher flow. I have crushed coral mixed with special grade and it stays put.

I can see that happening. My tank is bare bottom so I don’t have that issue.

I have the Fiji pink, or at least I think that’s what it’s named. I just love the finer sand, and I have all kinds of sand sifters. So coarse is not optioned I might do coarse in the areas that the fine stuff does not sit in. Don’t know yet, basically a mix.
