I made a rookie mistake and setup my aquascape on top of the sand bed. It's nestled down slightly, but sits on top of the sand bed. The tanks been up and running for 6 months removing the rock work doesn't sound like a good idea. I've got some Cyano growing in the sand bed and I was looking at adding a conch to help take care of the sand bed. Do you think the conch might knock over the aquascape?

gently wiggle the rockscape around, if it doesn't collapse then the conch won't knock anything over. I've had many conchs with some sketchy aquascaping and they have never knocked anything over.

DO YOU USE A PAR METER WHEN PLACING NEW CORAL IN YOUR TANK?

  • Yes! I think it's important for the longterm health/growth of my coral.

  • Yes, but I don't find that it is necessary all the time.

  • No. I don't measure PAR and my corals are still healthy/growing.
