Will a toadstool leather reattach itself, if I position it amongst some piece of coral and rockwork so it will be undisturbed, or will I need to superglue it to a piece of dead coral or rock?

OK, so they can reattach themselves. This is good, thank youDon’t use superglue. Leathers slough off skin and will detach. Use a rubber band or fishing line to hold it in place. It’ll attach in a few weeks.
They can, but you have to keep the base secure, any wiggle and it won’t.
