Cycling my dry rock, sand and media in a 19 gallon bucket, got a waterbox marine x 35.1 arriving Monday. Will the extra 12 gallons needed for the system stall the cycle?
Adding de tims on the 13
TEMP 78.0° Ammonia 2.0 ppm, nitrite 2.0 ppm, nitrate 40 ppm

Those rocks w be ready by this Friday no matter the volume changed, agreed all.

your test kits may not agree, but those rocks would be ready for use this Friday most assuredly and seneye sure would agree. In a world of cycling rules madness it’s fun to name the exact start date for a given setup based on repeating clues shared in systems we’ve already tracked out applied here

save the big water change hassle: leave them in this vat this week and on Friday simply move them into a large tank leaving this waste water behind, the rocks carry the adhered bacteria over and you’re cycled and can’t not be cycled, what your test kits say won’t matter they aren’t super accurate for the job like # of days underwater is

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
