Will I likely need daily dosing on a 10g frag tank?

I just set up a 10g IM Nuvo Fusion tank for my son. I mainly need somewhere to put frags from my main tank until they heal and I can find a home for them and will add a fish or two and maybe a pistol shrimp for my son. On my main tank, it took a while before I needed to dose, and then I got away with dosing once a week for a bit longer. Given this tank is only 10g and can't hold a ton of coral, might I get away with only dosing once a week in between a 1-2g water change? Just curious as there isn't much room for extra equipment in his room.

I honestly doubt you'll need to dose if you are doing regular water changes but curious for other opinions
