So as the title says - Will cyano be outcompetes by desired algae’s (My plan for this tank is softie and macro only). I’m tired of beating it and have a hard fish in the tank to grow out (Blue Star Leopard) - It’s a 20g tank.

You may find cyanobacteria overgrowing the macro algae.

Okay,
You may find cyanobacteria overgrowing the macro algae.
thanks for letting me know - I’ll try it but if it does outcompete I’ll keep attacking it back, I also got some macro to keep nutrients down whilst housing two wrasse that are using it as a 20g tank - Leopard wrasse and a Naoko fairy
