Interesting. I once did something similar but all saltwater. Corals to the left in a 120g and macro algae to the right in a 40g DIY tank. This pic was taken right after it was all set up and the new Reef Breeders Photon V2 fixtures had arrived.

Things are starting to clear up!

I was able to add the surface skimmer attachment to my Azoo mignon 150. The only issue I have with it, is the ugly black tubing, I wish the entire thing was clear.

I’m going to pick up this rainbow bubbletip on Wednesday.

some of the major changes that have occurred in the last five months include:
  • I moved NYC apartment and therefore had to change the location of my two UNS 3N Picos (they now sit on different levels of the same book case)
  • I replaced my Kessil A80 with a Nanobox Tide. I think the color rendition the Nanobox provides is second to none in this size range
  • I planted some dragons breath macro in the corner of the tank to be used as nutrient export (I trim a third off each week)
  • I got a clownfish
  • I started dosing (Tropic Marin All-for-reef, Acropower, Vibrant)
Most of the corals in this tank came from my Red Sea Reefer Nano, the $10 "needs some TLC" section and my LFS or from other NYC Reefers (Jaw breakers, RFA, BTA)
