Hi there!
I am once again reaching out to the r2r-community for help.
I discovered something that looks like a (spider-) web that is present on one of my seriatoporas.
I took some pictures of it, though its not as easy to recognize on them as in RL.
Thanks for your time reading and hopefully your valuable input :)

Kind regards

View from the side, to get an idea about the coral:

There is something of the white "web" barely visible in the center of that picture:

looking from bottom up, so thats the "base" of the animal, see what i mean?

The coral looks healthy to me, grew a few cm in the last 1-2 months.

Maybe you can describe it a bit more, I'm having a hard time visualizing it from the pictures. I'm assuming it's immobile?

Are you sure it's not a sponge of some sort?

Good morning!
Please excuse the long delay.
Sure, i can do that.

Its basically looking like "foam" or like a fungus or mould.
- Its white / transparent
- it started at the bottom of the coral
- its like a spider web (but much thicker) covering parts of the coral
- it looks like its wrapping the branches of the coral

I'm still thinking it's a type of sponge as I'm still struggling to get enough resolution with the photo to really discern much. It would fit the pattern of being on the underside of the coral (shaded), being white/transparent, and appearing like a spider's web. You should be able to grab a piece with some forceps- it should tear off easily. If so, if it's bouncy and doesn't disintegrate, it's likely a sponge, but it might allow you to get some macro shots to positively ID it.
