Would a 6mm think glass be enough for 500liter overflow ?

Hello guys just want to upgrade from my 250liter DT to 500liter DT and i have to make overflow for 500 plan is to make it in one corner and i have some 6mm glass left overs what i could use but would it hold the water pressure thats what im wondering about ..

It would be ok for a 50cm or 20" high tank (total tank volume doesn't matter) but even that would be pushing it. I would worry about hitting it with a piece of rock and breaking it with it so thin.
