Hey guys, my lighting on my 40 gallon breeder is the Current orbit IC pro 24" strips, it comes with two strips. The lights sit roughly 6 inches above the surface of the water and my tank is 16" deep. Would this light support a bubble tip anemone at 52 wattsx2 and 14,000k? I would try to place the bubble tip nem in the top 1/3 of the tank.

As long as you max out the blue it should be fine. I would max out the white at sometime during he day but blue is always the most important

Again having rockwork in the middle where it can move up helps
I have same setup. 40 breeder with current IC pro 24” dual light setup. First tank (started March 2020) and added first anemone in January 2021.
My (limited) experience is that these lights aren’t quite strong enough for anemones. My nem moved to very top of tank and has reduced to about half of original size and lost a lot of color since being added. I will have to check settings per @Spare time recommendations. Have about 8hrs of daylight settings, plus ramp-up ramp-down. Tried direct feeding but still seemed to be struggling.
Regardless I was worried about nem and light seemed like major issue. So I just added “cheap” 36” 2 bulb T5 light. Went with ATI blue+ and coral+ bulbs. This was about 2 weeks ago. Slowly ramping up T5 light time, only about 1.5 hours per day right now. Nem is puffing up more during T5 time, starting to show small bubbles again and regaining some color. Think I’m on the right track with added T5 but time will tell.

Color and size (2-2.5”) when Nem first added to tank.

Don’t have a great current picture. But nem is right near top right behind the torch. Went directly to highest point in tank within first week, which made me believe it wanted more light. Again only half size of original with faded color.
Current lights have been great for softies and euphylia growth. Hammer split and GSP on back wall is about 4 months growth from base rock. But still didn’t seem like enough light for the nem.

Hope this helps.

This was very helpful, I bought the rose bubble tip today so I'm committed to giving it one shot, if it seems to be struggling I'll re-home it

Im Running a Kessil A80. People say this lights only good for fish but at the bottom of my fluval evo 13.5 Its happy and fully extended. I think as long as your par is around 200 or its accustomed to low light it will be fine

I this thread is kind of old, but just FYI, the 24” Current Orbit IC Pro is 54watts, not 54 watts X 2 (108), it’s 27 X 2 (54). Its iffy if a BTA would thrive under this light, it would likely be okay survive, but it wouldn’t reach its full potential.
