Hello everyone, I would like some help please, I’m having a hard time beating my algae problem. So I have purchased a microscope and did the best I can to get some pics and a video. I have had this system up 11 months. But back in Aug I moved and took 3/4 the water with me, had all scape rocks in tubs with running PH and all new live sand. That’s pretty much when my problems started and I am lost at this point and am reaching out for some help please, if someone wouldn’t mind helping me out I’d greatly appreciate it. I’ve since lost pretty much all my corals as i couldn’t keep up with the cleaning them off.

I have an Aqua UV 57 watt plumed into 1st compartment of WB sump and return on its own vortex RP plumed into return section of sump right at the opening of the RP, I don’t believe this is so effective with this type of Dino but Since then, a week ago I do feel it’s a bit better I assume but maybe it’s just me. I’m frustrated as this has been since mid Aug and I just want to get this beat.
After microscope I believe I have amphidiniums? And what I believe I need to do is raise Nitrates a bit more and dose silicates? To encourage diatoms to out compete the Dino’s. So Am I correct in my assessment? If so how is Brightwell silica solution. Also I will start dosing H202 FG at 1ml per 10g every 24 hrs.

I have reduced the skimmer work load by half and cut out all white and run straight blue also lighting is cut to 6hrs.

Hope this plan seems effective? Any advice would be appreciated

System is 290g
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 2
Cal 450
Mag 1480
Alk 6.6
Phos 0.04

I know I bottomed out with double 0’s and have tried over feed, reef roids to get it up but been unsuccessful at the moment.

My apologies for the lengthy post but I really would like some help please and if someone could help me out I’d greatly appreciate it.

Thank you all kindly have a great weekend.
