I've had several successes this week. The first one was my tank was being overrun with cyano. I've had this problem for several months and didn't know what it was. A little research, nice to live in the information age, as back in the day I would had to go to the library, and search through the card files for a book, anyway after some research, BRS video, I opted for Chemiclean and after two days my tank is sparkling clean. I've had PH instability for most of the tanks life and had to add reef buffer, carefully watching that I didn't spike my alkalinity. By accident I bought a 10-pound bag of aragonite and after adding it over several days now have my tank at a stable 8.1 PH. I also bought some citric acid and now have very clean equipment. Bought some cyano clean for some proactive use.

Every win matters. Glad the Cyanobacteria is gone, just make sure the original imbalance that allowed it to take hold is also improving, otherwise another nuisance organism can end up taking its place.
