Wrasse acclimation behavior

I added a red lined wrasse and a yellow coris wrasse into my 125 gallon tank 4 days ago. They are both small maybe 2”-3”. I know there is an over abundance of copepods and amphipods so if they don’t come out to eat at least they can hunt. Should I be doing anything out of ordinary like dim the daytime lights or try search them out under sand. As of now I plan to just wait it out

So are you saying you haven’t seen them in a while? If so i would just give it some more time and they will probably come out.

I haven’t added these exact species, but I’ve had new leopards and a melenarus stay in the sand for a week after being added. I’d just leave them be, definitely don’t dig them up. Once they’re ready they’ll pop up.

I’ve added a full grown leopard wrasse before and he hid for a few hours but nothing like this. He also ate off the crustaceans before switching over to frozen. I’ll just keep an eye out for them
