Wrasse or Royal Gramma

Hi all,

if you had the choice and as your last fish to put in a 32 gallon, which one would it be and why?

I currently have
2 Clownfish
2 Bangaii Cardinals
1 YWG and 1 pistol shrimp

I voted gramma as the wrasses swim more and would better in a larger tank. I love my gramma except he hides a lot.

Wrasse I believe they are more peaceful all around. I have both and feel like my wrasse is also more active, constantly swimming around looking for bugs. They can help get rid of unwanted pest also.

My LFS currently has Pintalil Fairy, orange back Fairy, and yellow coris.
I like the look of the orange back but I heard their Colors fade when there’s no other males?

Yea they claim for minimum of 90 gallons though. I'd look around at smaller wrasse types and find one that suits your size better. And wrasse are known jumpers so if you don't have a top I'd stay clear or you will find it on your floor

Based on your tank size, I'm voting Royal Gramma. I have a Yellow Wrasse in my 50g, which is really more like 36g, and you can really see how much swimming room they like.

My royal gramma is my favorite fish.

If it's a 36" tank, a flasher wrasse! They are super active and have amazing color when they flash. Otherwise, a royal gramma.

For that size tank, gramma is more suitable.
