I'm freaked out about owning a Red Sea tank after seeing all the seam failure threads so an upgrade is in my future! I'm hoping sometime next year I can setup a 6' and join in the angelfish fun since it's doubtful I'll make it a reef. A rock beauty is high on my list! A majestic is also on the list!

I'm beyond happy i never got a redsea. But, im sure sca isn't much better and my tank hides a scary secret. So far, the chipped corner is holding. I always look though.

Trust me, a 5’ tank is in my future, these angels look like they’ll love it.
Although for now… I think I need more fish haha. I know, I have all these high bio load fish but my corals are struggling with low nutrients!

I’ve also been a bit worried, I’m practically seeing that specific failure thread (and others) every day I log in. Hoping nothing is going on with mine but since it’s an older model I’m hoping theres a less chance.

I’ve been looking to upgrade for a while now just haven’t got the means to do it yet, but I’m certainly going to! I’ve got 2 tanks all ready planned out: either a Cade 1500 or a WaterBox 290!

Get the Cade 1500 you won’t be disappointed. It’s built exceptionally well and very easy to assemble. Beats the Redsea brand hands down.

I’ve always loved Cade, actually was going for a Cade originally but there was a Sale on the RedSea I have now. Something I love about Cade is their sump design and the built in control power panel.

I check my front seam everyday like a psycho and pray to the tank gods. I had no idea RS tanks had this issue when I bought mine in 2019. Lesson learned - do your research first.

Those are some nice tanks! After seeing danieyella's cades I say go for the cade!
