My opinion i wouldn't waste your money on the carbon doser .... many people swear by them , they are only a basic timer inside them , their are a bunch of threads on here about DIY regulators etc... someone else on here took one apart , their is a packing peanut , a few wires and the timer ( misc. other parts ) im not saying they don't work , im simply stating you don't need to spend 350.00 on a carbon doser when you can get parts cheaper and more reliable and put it together yourself ...... another reefer helped me to do this very thing , if your interested i can send you the parts list or the link to follow the other threads about this very same build , this is what i just built , the regulator is the only piece used and it was from E bay and came with a 60 day return guarantee , total in was around 200.00

I know I don’t need to but they are know to be very reliable and easiest and dummy proof as far as dialing in ( big thing for me). I know I can follow along threads to build and hunt down parts just as I did building my stand but I’m at a point where I rather just pay to have something pre assembled. I was looking at the Milwaukee regulator it had good reviews but there were enough complaints about the valves and dialing in that I’d rather not deal with. I appreciate your time and opinion and that is a nice regulator though but this is just my thought on the item I’m seeking

Understandable , then i would say buy the carbon doser , if you don't want to bite the bullet and spend that kind of coin then i would say get a reef fanatic regulator , they are a good reliable ( but only single stage ) regulator , you will still need a solenoid for this and not sure if the carbon doser comes with one or not ?
